Why Shuriken

Shuriken was created to reduce the cost and carbon footprint of steel construction. Every engineering student knows that box-shaped columns perform better than wide flanges. But until now, the only way to harness that efficiency was to sacrifice your schedule, your budget, or both. With Shuriken, HSS goes up fast at low cost. No more excuses.

Structural Fusion

Conceived in Japan - Made in the USA. Shuriken is the brainchild of an American structural engineer who spent too much time wandering past construction sites in Tokyo. In Japan, HSS columns are king. But with HSS columns came welded splices, and lots of labor in the field. One bright idea, a dozen versions, and a few patents later, Shuriken was born. Now you can have your tube and bolt it too.
